Mental Health and Well-being

Having difficulties with your mental health should not necessarily limit your chances in life. Our service creates opportunities for those who are experiencing, or have experienced, problems with their mental health.

We promote well-being through person-centred personal development. Whether you are looking for a training and development pathway or prefer a less structured environment including peer support, there will be something here to help you develop skills and confidence. Thriving art sessions come as standard!

Have you heard about our Recovery Independence Social Inclusion Empowerment club (RISE Club)? The RISE club is our program of Open Access (Drop In) activities designed by you for you. These include art sessions, computers, home maintenance, discussion focus groups and monthly employability programme. Find out more in the RISE Club leaflet design (892KB). We have a hot meal every Wednesday at 4pm for £2. Please ring to book. Peer groups include photography, Green Walker, Blackfriars Art Studio.

Personal Budget

Do you have a Personal Budget or have you applied for one? People with a personal budget can purchase a personal development package from our range of activities and courses.

All sessions (average 2 hours each) are £20 per session.

Woodwork Wednesday Morning Learn the safe way to use woodwork tools, strengthen concentration and socialise while you make something with your own hands. Pathway to further education.
Chinese painting Thursday afternoon Learn the brush skills and philosophy of Chinese art, de-stress, (and a chance to socialise).
UK Online (We are a registered UK Online centre) Wednesday and Thursday Register on LearnmyWay to learn basic keyboard skills and then how to become connected and empowered by the internet. Save money by paying bills online. Access information about health, employment and much more…
Image Making Thursdays (10 sessions) Learn the basics of graphic design. Build a portfolio for access to mainstream education. A pathway to work experience in our graphic design social enterprise A2P.
Breakfast club Wednesday morning Peer supported discussion and activity planning based on the ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’. Make friends. Healthy walking.
Computer access Wednesday Book some supported time on one of our computers to do what you want to do.
Art groups Wednesday & Thursdays Learn artistic skills, de-stress, discuss art, socialise, visit exhibitions and participate in exhibitions
Mental Health Support Group Wednesday monthly Discuss issues around MH with your peers and ways to support each other by exchanging ideas and experiences.
D.I.Y/Home maintenance Wednesdays (4 sessions) Learn basic tips for looking after your home. Tutor will help you learn the skills you need.
Healthy Cook and Eat Wednesdays (8 sessions) Moving into your first flat? Just want to learn cooking skills? Learn how to cook healthy meals safely.
Soft Crafts Thursday Mornings Learn or recover skills in sewing, hand knitting, patchwork and crochet. Friendly chats and making friends.
Social Activities Wednesdays Meet people, eat together (meal £2), play games,
Music group Wednesdays Make music for fun and learn a tune or 2!
Photography Club Tuesday afternoons Learn the basics of digital photography, downloading images and get out and about to put it to good use
Green Walkers Varies Get out and about in and outside of London with friends
Employability session Thursdays Monthly Sessions with our volunteers from Lloyds Banking Group for advice, CV writing and discussion for those who want to have working as a choice in their life.

Reader Organisation

Every Thursday from 3.30 to 5pm the reading group meets to read and discuss a novel. ALL WELCOME. More details in the leaflet.
