Book Clubs

"Your next page to a new world"

We have partnered with Southwark libraries to organise these opportunities for the community to come together and enjoy reading as part of the Get London Reading campaign.

We run an exciting and inspiring book club that anyone is welcome to join. We also have two specialist book clubs:

  • English for Speakers of Other Languages
  • 50+

All of our book clubs meet once a month to discuss what they have read. Come along to discover and share opinions.

General Book Club

This book club is open to everyone, no matter your background, how old you are or where you live.

We are currently reading "The Bodies Left Behind" by Jeffery Deaver but our next meeting has been cancelled. No date has been fixed yet since our lecturer had to leave due to a family emergency.

For more information please call Jason Austin on 020 7928 9521 or e-mail jason.austin@blackfriars-settlement.org.uk

Book Club (English for Speakers of Other Languages)

This book club is open to anyone who speaks English as a second language. There is a focus on developing and practising English language skills.
