PR - BLACKFRIARS SETTLEMENT APPOINTS A NEW DIRECTOR

Blackfriars Settlement is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Beach as its new Director. His start date is Monday 16th February 2015.

Mark joins us having had a successful career within the Church, his last role being The Dean of Rochester Cathedral. He has a rich experience of working with communities either encouraging collaborative solutions to meeting local needs or through voluntary work with a number of organisations.

At the Diocese of Coventry, Mark worked as Transforming Communities Officer, enabling local churches to relate more effectively with their communities, building strategic partnerships with local Councils, voluntary and community groups and exploring opportunities for synergy.

He is currently Chair of Emmaus Medway, a Charity working with homeless people, and in his previous role was Chair of Healthwatch Medway and a member of the Health and Well-Being Board.

The Trustees of Blackfriars Settlement have every confidence that Mark will provide the organisation with effective leadership going forward.
